For our Information Technology department within General Services, we are looking for a:

Solution Architect (m/f/x)

Main duties

Our Solution Architect plays a pivotal role in translating idea
proposals into comprehensive solution design documents. This position involves
close collaboration with the Enterprise Architecture team and lead developers
to ensure all aspects of the solution are thoroughly documented and aligned
with business needs.

• Develop detailed solution design documents based on initial idea proposals and business analysis.
• Create and maintain precise documentation, including data models, infrastructure designs, application maps, and cost impact analyses.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is drafted in collaboration with the Enterprise Architecture team and lead developers.
• Conduct data protection, risk, and security assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the completeness of the solution design, initiating design authority meetings and securing final approval from relevant authorities.
• Participate in the continuous enhancement of the development process.
• Develop and standardise documentation and procedures related to software solution designs and integrations.
• Act as a technical liaison between project stakeholders, including business units, project leaders, and development teams, providing expert advice and guidance on the implementation and operation of IT solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and support to team members, offering insights and solutions to improve project outcomes.

Essential qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Information Technology or an equally compelling story of experience and expertise.
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar role within IT architecture and design.
• Exceptional ability to document and articulate complex solutions clearly and effectively.
• Demonstrated ability in leading assessment processes and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal guidelines.
• Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively across different teams and disciplines.
• A commitment to continuous learning and a willingness to dive deep into new technologies and tools.
• Excellent level spoken and written communication in English ensuring flawless information dissemination.

Desired or to be acquired required attributes:

• Strong understanding of Oracle databases and the ability to apply this knowledge to solution designs.
• Proficient in various aspects of IT architecture, including integration, data migration, and database management (both Relational and NoSQL), as well as data modelling and application design.
• Demonstrates comprehensive expertise across all phases of the software development life cycle, encompassing analysis, design, data migration, and integration.
