THE ROLE

The Solution Architect provides consulting services to clients in a project leadership capacity and is a key delivery leader of software and consulting solutions for the ERP Services team. The position provides activity direction and task management to both clients and consultants assigned to the team. Collaborates with clients and other ERP Project Managers and Leaders to construct and deliver solutions in accordance with client business requirements. In addition, the Solution Architect enables and collaborates with the sales team to position Nordic’s offerings to our customer base.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Solution Architect - Infor HR/Talent will have the following responsibilities, which include but are not limited to:

  • Recognized industry expert and thought leader both within and outside the organization
  • Proactively identifies, defines, and solves the most complex problems that impact the management and direction of the business
  • Providing complex, pre-sales solution generation that succinctly describes how a solution meets the client’s communicated needs and engenders client support for the proposed solution
  • Eliciting customer requirements, visioning solutions, and documenting technical and business requirements including leading solution development processes through continuous and iterative solution planning, scoping, and documentation, team mentorship, development review, and client discussions
  • Acts in a leadership capacity on project teams, providing activity direction and task management to both clients and consultants assigned to team
  • Serve as lead advisor and/or principal consultant resource for client opportunities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and clients while meeting customer service commitments and project timelines
  • Proven ability to navigate complex and political situations involving client, vendor and third-party challenges.
  • Provides excellent, professional client service, tailoring consulting approach to the type of engagement and aligning services with the goals of the company.
  • Adapts quickly to changes in the work environment and alters approach or method to successfully lead change; reacts well under pressure
  • Identify and participate in continuous learning opportunities
  • Work on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist in other initiatives as required
  • Present, facilitate meetings and negotiate with executive and C-level stakeholders
  • Coach and mentor team, resolve conflicts, maintain positive team morale, and deliver direct and timely feedback based on project work and performance
  • Serves as a thought leader within the ERP team to identify opportunities for new technologies and creative solutions to serve our clients
  • Share lessons learned and best practices with the ERP team and help improve our solutions, tools, and recommendations based on learnings
  • Ability to use AI-enabled tools to improve solution design, documentation, analysis, and delivery efficiency while maintaining appropriate data privacy and governance standards
  • Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 10 + years of professional experience; professional services or consulting experience required
  • Three or more referenceable 3 Suite implementation clients preferred
  • Experience implementing Infor Payroll, Absence and Benefits required with strong emphasis on Payroll and Absence
  • Lawson (S3) Payroll advanced setup and processing experience
  • Infor Certification in HRT modules preferred
  • Experience with Secure Act 2.0 and Affordable Care Act (ACA) setup a plus
  • Prior experience implementing, training, or supporting enterprise resource planning software required
  • Able to balance urgent, short-term needs with strategic, long-term priorities
  • Experience as a thought leader with proven collaboration skills and ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate opportunities for clients to take advantage of additional tools and ancillary products to support business needs
  • Exhibits strength in relating to people, including the ability to deliver feedback and inspire and motivate others to succeed
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting customer service commitments and project timelines
  • Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization, as well as with diverse candidates, consultants, and client bases
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the work environment and to alter approach or method to successfully lead change; reacts well under pressure
  • Ability to use AI to improve business and implementation processes
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, computers, email, correspondence, and spreadsheets
