The Solution Architect is a pre-sales role responsible for engaging directly with Optus customers to design and deliver solutions within a defined technology domain. Operating in a converged ICT environment, the role focuses on understanding customer and prospect business needs and translating them into effective, value-driven solutions.
This role is critical to the sales engagement process, driving strong customer experiences and commercial outcomes through sound technical expertise. The Solution Architect develops single-tower solutions aligned to customer requirements and environments, while building deep knowledge of Optus products, services, and standardised design and quoting tools.
Our ideal candidate is a Solution Architect at the earlier part of their career (approximately 2–3 years’), bringing hands-on expertise in Networking, including routing, access switching and voice solutions. Experience with collaboration technologies such as Webex is highly desirable, along with the ability to collaborate closely with Consulting Architects, the broader sales team and vendors to support solution responses and account planning activities.
