Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with strong IBM Mainframe expertise to design and oversee complex application solutions. The ideal candidate will bridge business and IT requirements, ensuring that technical designs align with enterprise architecture standards and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and validate complex system architectures and application solutions.
- Translate business requirements and operational constraints into functional and data models.
- Ensure application designs align with enterprise architecture standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate with Application Architects, Enterprise Architects, developers, and business stakeholders.
- Review technical specifications, documentation, coding, testing, and debugging activities.
- Contribute to application design standards, reusable frameworks, patterns, and tools.
- Support production troubleshooting, application enhancements, and testing when required.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior IT professionals.
- Maintain design documentation and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to communicate application architecture and technical requirements.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in development and functional design.
- Strong expertise in IBM Mainframe technologies.
- Hands-on knowledge of PL/I, DB2, MQ, and CICS.
- Experience working on major IT projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage complex systems and work autonomously.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proactive, solution-oriented approach with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
