In this role, you'll:

Work as a Solution Architect, you will be a key contributor within a high performing team delivering architectural solutions to upgrade legacy systems.

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be providing technical leadership and strategic advice to key stakeholders to deliver improvements in Operational Technology Systems.

You will be collaborating closely with the technical team (such as product owners and other domain architects) and a range of key stakeholders to really understand their business problems and devise appropriate solutions, supporting the business by delivering successful projects, products and services.

As a seasoned Solution Architect, you demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

  • Designing and implementing OnPrem/cloud-based architectural solutions and enterprise application integrations
  • Evaluating solution options and recommending the most effective approach to meet business and technical objectives
  • Developing solutions that comply with TfNSW Cyber Security standards and organisational technology policies
  • Ensuring implementation of non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, resilience) whilst maintaining strict cybersecurity compliance
  • Engaging with business stakeholders to translate requirements into end-to-end solutions aligned with enterprise architecture principles
  • Designing and defining current-state and target-state application architectures that support strategic business outcomes

This role reports into the Senior Manager Architecture and Design. We currently have two open vacancies at this level.

About you

For you to be successful within this role you should meet with all, or most of the following criteria:

  • You will bring deep expertise in addressing complex business challenges through the design and implementation of comprehensive end to end solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise integration patterns, API design, and application modernisation
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS, including architecture design and deployment
  • Strong expertise in options evaluation and decision-making for complex solution scenarios
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and manage stakeholders effectively

This is a fixed-term flexible hybrid role ( end date 31 December 2026). 50% of your time will be office based, with at least 25% of that time based from our offices at Redfern Salary & Grading – Grade 9 ($158,393.00 - $177,399.00 + super).
