Solution Architect (Expert) – Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Cloud Transformation

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support large-scale digital transformation initiatives within the public sector in Belgium. The role focuses on cloud migration, enterprise solution architecture, Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystems, and alignment with enterprise-wide reference architectures.

The successful candidate will contribute to strategic modernization projects, including SharePoint cloud migration initiatives, AWS-to-Azure migration programs, and the implementation of scalable Microsoft technology solutions across multiple departments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure technologies, enterprise architecture frameworks, and solution governance within complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Govern and maintain the overall solution architecture for enterprise transformation programs.
• 
  Ensure solutions delivered by integration partners comply with architectural standards and enterprise reference architectures.
• 
  Coordinate technical workstreams, integrations, planning, and follow-up activities across programs.
• 
  Design and oversee secure, scalable, and future-proof cloud solutions.
• 
  Lead technical design, configuration, documentation, architecture reviews, and solution governance.
• 
  Support migration initiatives from AWS to Azure environments.
• 
  Collaborate closely with stakeholders, business teams, and technical partners.
• 
  Advise internal teams on evolving enterprise architecture standards and digital transformation strategies.
• 
  Contribute to architecture decision-making across business, application, data, security, and technology domains.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

• 
  8+ years of experience as a Solution Architect.
• 
  8+ years of experience as a specialist architect or Enterprise Architect within domains such as infrastructure, security, applications, ERP, ECM, data, or integration architecture.
• 
  8+ years of experience developing and maintaining solution architecture across business, application, data, and technology domains.
• 
  5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 technologies, including:
  • 
    Dynamics 365 Project Operations
  • 
    Finance & Operations
  • 
    Customer Engagement
• 
  Strong experience with Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Dataverse, and Power Platform.
• 
  Strong knowledge of modeling methodologies and tools including:
  • 
    Archimate
  • 
    TOGAF
  • 
    UML
  • 
    Sparx Enterprise Architect
• 
  Experience working with enterprise architecture and integration governance.
• 
  Fluent Dutch communication skills at CEFR Level C2.
• 
  Ability to provide relevant certifications and proven delivery experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead.

Nice-to-Have

• 
  Experience working in a government or public-sector environment.
• 
  Knowledge of event-driven architecture and microservices.
• 
  Familiarity with the C4 model and Zachman Framework.
• 
  Strong understanding of enterprise business processes.
• 
  Experience with project management aspects including planning, coordination, estimation, timing, and budgeting.
• 
  Expertise in at least one specialized architecture domain such as infrastructure, security, data, application, or process architecture.
