Solution Architect – Building Automation & Fire Safety

We empower our people to stay resilient and relevant in a constantly changing world. We’re looking for people who are always searching for creative ways to grow and learn. People who want to make a real impact, now and in the future. Does that sound like you? Then it seems like you’d make a great addition to our vibrant international team.

We are seeking a Tender & Presales Solution Architect to develop competitive and compliant Building Management System (BMS) and Fire Safety bid proposals. In this role, you will analyze tender requirements, design practical and cost-effective technical solutions, prepare bid documentation, and work closely with sales, engineering, project teams, suppliers, and customers to drive successful tender submissions and seamless project handovers.

You'll make a difference by:

  • Analyzing tender requirements by reviewing specifications, drawings, quantity schedules, contractual documents and site information to define project scope, solution strategy and bid requirements.
  • Developing compliant technical solutions by designing Building Management System (BMS) and Fire Safety architectures, equipment selections, control strategies and system integrations that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Preparing high-quality bid submissions by creating technical proposals, compliance documentation, system architectures, schedules, datasheets and clarification responses that are clear, accurate and competitive.
  • Building accurate cost estimates by completing quantity take-offs, assessing engineering effort, evaluating supplier quotations and ensuring full alignment with tender requirements.
  • Managing technical and commercial risks by identifying gaps, dependencies, constraints and uncertainties early, while documenting assumptions and recommending practical mitigation strategies.
  • Enhancing bid competitiveness by applying commercial awareness and proposing value-driven solutions that balance compliance, performance, lifecycle value, cost and delivery risk.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders by partnering with Sales, Bid Management, Engineering, Project Delivery, Procurement, suppliers and offshore teams to ensure complete and timely submissions.
  • Supporting customer engagement and project handover by participating in site visits, technical discussions and tender clarifications, while ensuring a smooth transition of awarded projects to execution teams.

Your defining qualities:

  • Relevant engineering qualification with a degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, Controls, Automation or a related discipline.
  • Experience in technical solution development or tendering with approximately 4-6 years of experience in Building Automation, Fire Safety, engineering, estimation, technical sales support or bid management.
  • Strong technical expertise in BMS, Fire Safety systems, or both, with a willingness to broaden knowledge across both disciplines.
  • Ability to interpret complex requirements and translate tender specifications, drawings and customer requirements into compliant, cost-effective and deliverable solutions.
  • Experience preparing technical and commercial bid documentation including proposals, equipment selections, estimates, compliance statements and clarification responses.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate with diverse stakeholders and maintain high attention to detail.

In return, we offer you:

  • Flexible Work Environment: Including a mobile working policy that supports your well-being and allows you to prioritize what matters most.
  • Competitive Compensation & Benefits: A comprehensive package to reward your contributions.
  • Values-Driven Culture: An inclusive workplace that prioritizes diversity and belonging.
  • Continuous Learning & Development: Opportunities to grow your skills and advance your career.
