We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Solution Architect to join our IT team in Langley, BC.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Application Support, you will be responsible for defining, designing, and delivering enterprise-scale Intelligent Automation, Artificial Intelligence, and process automation solutions that drive operational efficiency and business value across Retail, Finance and Supply Chain functions. In this role, you will design scalable platform-agnostic automation architectures, evaluate emerging technologies, and deliver AI-driven solutions that support our business objectives.


You will be responsible for:

  • Designing end-to-end Intelligent Automation solutions leveraging workflow automation, RPA, AI, ML, and AI agents, with scalable architectures across application, data, integration, and automation layers.

  • Evaluating, selecting, and implementing automation and AI technologies (Azure AI, Copilot Studio, Databricks, and open-source platforms) while determining the most appropriate platform for each use case.

  • Driving the development of enterprise AI agents within PFG's Azure environment, with appropriate governance, security, and responsible AI practices.

  • Acting as an advocate for Intelligent Automation by facilitating discovery workshops and ideation sessions and translating business challenges into automation opportunities.

  • Identifying, assessing, and prioritizing automation opportunities, defining automation roadmaps and championing independent business value initiatives outside formal project pipelines.

  • Developing business cases that quantify benefits, ROI, costs, and expected outcomes, and presenting strategies, roadmaps, and recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Influencing investment decisions, platform selection, and initiative prioritization with senior leadership and the Intelligent Automation team.

  • Establishing architecture standards, governance frameworks, design principles, and reusable automation patterns.

  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful adoption, operational readiness, and long-term sustainability of solutions.

  • Driving continuous improvement of Intelligent Automation capabilities, processes, and platforms across the organization.

You have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business Technology Management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in a large and complex organization.

  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience including software development, automation, systems integration, and solution architecture.

  • Demonstrated career progression from software developer or engineer to technical leadership and solution architectural roles, with experience building, scaling, and supporting enterprise solutions in productions environment.

  • Strong hands-on experience with software development, process automation, systems integration, or cloud-based solution delivery, and a deep understanding of system design, debugging, and production support.

  • Experience working within complex enterprise environments, including Retail, Finance, Supply Chain, ERP, or related business systems.

  • Strong understanding of solution architecture, application design, data architecture, security, governance, and scalability principles.

  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure AI Engineer Associate, or TOGAF are considered assets.

Compensation Details:

$116,504.00 - $155,339.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience and other factors.
