We are looking for

We are looking for a Solution Architect at WirelessCar Japan, you will define and communicate the technical and architectural vision for mobility platforms that are shaping the future of connected services. You work closely with both Japanese automotive OEMs and global engineering teams to ensure that solutions are technically sound, scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals.

You are a key part of one or more Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and are deeply involved in the discovery and evolution of customer needs. Whether acting as a supporting architect or Lead Solution Architect in a program, you play a pivotal role in translating complex requirements into concrete, compliant, and cost-efficient solutions.

Your work is carried out in alignment with WirelessCar’s global architecture strategy, security directives, and our cultural spirit of co-creation, curiosity, and accountability.

What You'll Do

Solution Architecture

  • Define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision across ARTs and stakeholders.
  • Describe the solution context, identify components, subsystems, interfaces, and map external integrations.
  • Define and validate non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, availability, security, and cost.
  • Ensure the solution satisfies business and technical requirements, and contributes to operational excellence.

Collaboration Across Borders

  • Act as a technical bridge between Japanese OEMs and WirelessCar’s global solution teams in Sweden, China, and the US.
  • Translate local business scenarios and regulatory needs into scalable architecture that integrates globally.
  • Align technical direction across globally distributed development teams and ensure reuse of standard services.

SAFe & Program Leadership

  • Participate in PI Planning, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops as a key contributor.
  • Align with Product Management, Release Train Engineers, and other architects to ensure cohesive system design.
  • Conduct proof-of-concepts, explore new technologies, and evolve WirelessCar’s reference architectures.

Your Background

  • Experience 7+ years in software/system architecture, preferably in the automotive, IoT, or mobility sectors.
  • SAFe Experience working in ARTs and Agile frameworks (SAFe System/Solution Architect certification is a plus).
  • Technical Expertise Microservices, cloud-native systems (AWS preferred), API integration, DevSecOps practices.
  • Soft Skills Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder alignment capabilities.
  • Languages Fluent in Japanese and English.
