Job Description

Drive Architectural Impact Across the Enterprise

Are you ready to take the lead in transforming a growing enterprise from monolithic legacy systems to a scalable, composable architecture? As our new Solution Architect, you will be at the forefront of designing and governing a modular, event-driven ecosystem that accelerates innovation and enables seamless integration across business domains.

Your architecture will span multiple systems and processes, delivering business-ready solutions that are system-agnostic, yet deeply aligned with our enterprise goals. This is your chance to set the direction for how we build, connect, and scale our digital capabilities.

Your role and Impact

In this role you bring architectural clarity and enable modularity in a complex, evolving IT landscape. Your focus will be to translate complexity into simplicity - making our architecture understandable and actionable across both business and IT teams. Your work will primarily, but not only, support our Finance area.

You’ll play a key role in our Center of Excellence (CoE) for solution architecture, where you will define best practices, establish governance, and guide a growing team of architects, analysts, and developers. Expect to work with sharp, collaborative, and fun colleagues who are just as passionate about impact as you are.

In this role, you will:

  • Architect scalable, composable solutions that support our enterprise strategy and enable interoperability between systems and workstreams.

  • Connect the dots across domains by identifying dependencies, advising on integration points, and guiding the business and development teams on architectural direction.

  • Translate complexity into actionable guidance — providing a clear architectural context that system architects and business analysts can execute on.

  • Own and document solution architecture across assigned areas, in collaboration with fellow architects, ensuring alignment and reuse.

  • Set governance and develop best practices within the Solution Architecture CoE, supporting standardization and maturity across our enterprise landscape.

  • Enable transparency and clarity by using our tools and your own landscape view to bring architecture closer to the business.

You will be a success in this role when you quickly create clarity around architectural direction, make it easier for teams to work across systems, and bring structure to areas where complexity has previously slowed progress. Over time, your solutions will enable smoother integrations, fewer architectural conflicts, and a more coherent enterprise landscape — supporting both operational stability and long-term scalability.

What you bring

To make a real difference in this role, you are someone who naturally builds bridges between business and IT. You thrive in an environment with many stakeholders, where your ability to simplify complex problems and guide decisions is key.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience with composable and event-driven architecture

  • Solid understanding of finance domains and system-agnostic data

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Familiarity with architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, MACH)

  • Strong communicator who can guide, influence, and align both engineers and stakeholders in Danish and English.

What we offer

In return for joining as our new Solution Architect, you will be part of an exciting digital transformation journey as we replace legacy monolithic systems and transition towards a modular and composable architecture. Group IT, a dynamic and rapidly evolving part of STARK Group, is responsible for delivering group-wide business-critical IT solutions. We are modernizing and reimagining our IT landscape to ensure scalability, composability, and long-term flexibility to meet both current and future business needs. In this role, you will help shape how technology supports the business and rethink how digital solutions can create value for our customers and colleagues across the organisation.

The role is based in Viby J, with expected travel of up to 20 days per year. You will also be part of a flexible work environment with hybrid options and strong collaboration across teams and markets.

Welcome to Group IT
When you join Group IT, you become part of a team that works across countries, domains, and business units to build the digital foundation of STARK Group. We operate at enterprise scale, shaping the structures and standards that connect systems and enable the business to grow with confidence. As a Solution Architect, you will be part of a community that values professionalism, collaboration, and architectural excellence — and where your ability to bring clarity and direction has real impact on how we build and evolve our landscape.
