Niyam is seeking an experienced Solution Architect/Technical Lead to support one of our federal clients. The Solution Architect serves as the technical leader for the program, partnering closely with the Project Manager to define and guide the overall solution architecture in alignment with business and product objectives. This role is responsible for shaping architectural standards, leading technology selection and system design, and ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable solutions that meet both functional and nonfunctional requirements. The Solution Architect remains hands on when needed, contributing to development, reviewing critical components, and promoting clean code, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices. Working within an Agile environment, this individual collaborates with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, developers, and enterprise stakeholders to break down complex initiatives into practical, incremental deliverables, while mentoring team members and guiding architectural decision making. The role also supports production readiness, operational stability, and continuous improvement, clearly communicating technical direction, risks, and tradeoffs to both technical and nontechnical audiences to ensure successful delivery of mission focused solutions.This position is a part-time role and will be onsite at client location in Ashburn, VA up to three (3) days per week.
