As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and driven Solidworks PDM admin to join our team and own a key system that drives/enables the engineering work flow.
We are seeking an experienced PDM Administrator to own the global workflow, configuration, documentation and user management within the engineering organization.. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, chemists and technicians to drive towards solutions that scale..
Responsibilities:
Installing, configuring, and maintaining the SOLIDWORKS PDM software and vaults.
Managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights within the PDM system.
Creating, modifying, and managing workflows to ensure efficient data management processes.
Ensuring data integrity, implementing data management policies, and optimizing data storage and retrieval.
Providing technical support to users, troubleshooting issues, and resolving support tickets.
Developing training materials, conducting user training, and creating comprehensive system documentation. Technical writing to facilitate onboarding new employees and scaling of capabilities.
Collaborating with other teams (e.g., engineering, IT, quality assurance) to ensure data integrity and process optimization.
Identifying opportunities to improve the PDM system, automate tasks, and enhance user productivity.
Ensuring compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Proven experience with SOLIDWORKS PDM administration, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of PDM concepts, workflows, data management principles, and best practices.
Troubleshooting and Analytical Skills:
Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, analyze problems, and implement effective solutions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with users and collaborating with other teams.
Ability to develop and deliver training materials and provide effective user support.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automating tasks within the PDM system.
Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or product development environment.
