  • We are seeking a Crystallization Scientist to support laboratory‑based crystallization process development. This role is highly hands‑on and focuses on generating high‑quality experimental and solid‑state data to support development programs. The ideal candidate is technically curious, highly organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced laboratory environment.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Support crystallization process development through laboratory experiments including:
    • Solubility and kinetic solubility screening
    • Metastable zone width measurements
    • Laboratory‑scale crystallization experiments
  • Generate and interpret solid‑state characterization data using:
    • Powder X‑ray Diffraction (PXRD)
    • Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)
    • Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA)
  • Analyze product samples for key physical properties, including:
    • Particle size distribution (laser diffraction)
    • Particle shape and morphology (optical microscopy)
  • Support technical initiatives related to the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of specialized laboratory equipment
  • Maintain accurate experimental records using electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs)
  • Organize, analyze, and summarize data using relational databases and complex spreadsheets
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks while maintaining scientific rigor and attention to detail

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
    • Equivalent experience Two years of directly related industry experience may substitute for one year of college coursework
  • Hands‑on laboratory experience in chemical or materials characterization
  • Strong computer literacy, including experience with databases and advanced spreadsheets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and comfortable multitasking in a laboratory setting
  • Ability to learn new techniques, follow procedures, and comply with company policies
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship

Additional Information

  • The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
  • May be requested to work on weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs.
