Job Description

The Oncology Sales Representative is responsible for achieving agreed business objectives for the assigned Solid Tumor Oncology portfolio and territory in Panama. The role develops and executes customer and territory plans, communicates approved product and disease information to appropriate healthcare stakeholders, and coordinates with the In-Field Team to improve account execution and customer experience. All activities must be conducted ethically, accurately, and in accordance with applicable laws, industry codes, pharmacovigilance requirements, and AbbVie policies and procedures.

Own the commercial performance of the assigned Oncology and Solid Tumor portfolio and territory, delivering agreed sales, demand, market-share, and execution objectives in accordance with the approved plan.

• Develop, maintain, and execute robust territory and account plans based on customer needs, patient pathways, market dynamics, institutional priorities, access conditions, and available business intelligence.
• Engage oncologists and other appropriate healthcare professionals through high-quality, customer-focused interactions using approved promotional materials, messages, and channels.
• Build and sustain trusted professional relationships with relevant customers, institutions, treatment centers, and authorized decision-makers while maintaining appropriate role boundaries and compliance standards.
• Identify opportunities and barriers across the patient and treatment journey and translate them into clear, compliant account actions in coordination with the In-Field Team.
• Analyze territory performance, customer segmentation, call activity, competitive dynamics, and available market data to prioritize resources and adapt execution.
• Execute approved brand campaigns, customer programs, meetings, and field initiatives with excellence, ensuring alignment with strategy, budget, and local requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Regulatory, Finance, Supply, Compliance, and other relevant partners to support integrated account execution.

Qualifications

• University degree is required. A degree in Health Sciences, Life Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Being a healthcare professional is preferred but is not a mandatory requirement.
• Demonstrated experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required, with prior field-based commercial, market access, sales, or account-management responsibility
• Demonstrated experience in Oncology, specifically Solid Tumors, is required.
• Experience with specialty, innovative, or high-cost medicines and complex institutional accounts is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of the Panamanian healthcare environment, oncology treatment centers, customer landscape, and relevant access or institutional dynamics is strongly preferred.

Previous experience working with, or strong knowledge of, key oncology institutions such as ION, CHOP, CSS and other relevant healthcare stakeholders is highly desirable.

• Spanish fluency is required. Working knowledge of English is preferred for training, scientific literature, regional interaction, and business communication.
• Valid driving authorization and availability for regular field travel, subject to local role requirements.
