Legal

In Legal, we help shape how the firm delivers legal matters to clients. We havelongstandingexperienceinthinkingdifferentlyaboutlaw,andweareat the forefront of making legal services more efficient – particularly at scale.

We have adeep knowledgeacross abroad range of sectors, anda wealth of experience in delivering large and complex mandates. We are specialists in documentreview, managed legal services including volumeclaims managementandremediation, contract review and due diligence.

Working collaboratively with colleagues from across the firm, we use our expertise in law, process design and technology to deliver solutions for our clients.

Legal Technology

The Role

Solicitorswillbepartofourlegalteam,workingcloselywithManagers,Senior Solicitors, Solicitors, Trainees and Legal Analysts.

NotethatlimitedtraveltotheHerbertSmithFreehillsKramerofficesorto clients may be required from time to time.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting document review and analysis, due diligence or other practice area-specificfee-earningwork(therewillbetargetaveragedailychargeable hours).
• UndertakeQualityControlandprovideconstructivefeedbacktoensure that output is consistent with HSF Kramer quality standards.
• Onappropriateprojects,asrequired,workingdirectlywithotherHSF Kramer practice groups in our global network to deliver high quality support to clients and HSF Kramer legal teams.
• On appropriate projects, as required, supervising Trainees or Legal Analysts in relation to individual matters, dealing with complex legal mattersorgenerallyasdirectedbySeniorSolicitors,ManagersorSenior Managers of the Digital Disputes team.
• Maintaininganup-to-dateknowledgeofareasoflawrelevanttothe practice.
• Ensuringcompliancewithfinancialdisciplinesonmatters(e.g.dailytime recording).
• Providinganyotherassistancetothebusinessonclientmattersand related tasks as required.

Qualifications,skillsand experience

Essential

• QualifiedsolicitororbarristerinEnglandandWalesorNorthernIreland. Republic of Ireland or other common law jurisdictions may be considered.
• Minimum 2+year'sPQE,withatleast12months'experienceinDisputes/litigation. 3+ PQE is desirable.
• Aninnovativemindset,curiousaboutAIandemerging technologies.

• Experienceworkinginacommerciallegalenvironment,ideallyaprivate practice law firm
• KnowledgeandexperienceoflegalworkfortheDisputespracticegroup, for example large scale document review, with the ability to project manage the process from instruction to completion.
