Job Description

Like being on the move, working independently, and helping projects stay on track? Join our team as a Solar Permit Runner and play a key role in supporting solar installations by ensuring permits and documents are delivered, submitted, and processed efficiently.

This is a field-based role where you’ll travel between job sites, municipalities, and offices to keep projects moving forward. If you’re organized, dependable, and enjoy a mix of driving and hands-on work, this is a great opportunity to get into the solar industry.

No solar experience required — administrative, delivery, or field support experience welcome. Training provided.

What You’ll Do

  • Pick up and deliver permit packages to municipalities and local offices.
  • Submit and retrieve permits, applications, and required documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure paperwork is complete and accurate.
  • Track permit status and provide updates to the team.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local offices and officials.
  • Assist with light administrative and field support tasks as needed.
  • Maintain organized records of documents and submissions.
  • Ensure timely delivery and handling of all materials.

Equipment You’ll Use

  • Company vehicle for daily travel
  • Mobile device for communication and updates
  • Basic office tools (scanner, printer, document handling)
  • GPS/navigation tools

A Typical Day

  • Start your day reviewing delivery and pickup assignments
  • Travel to municipalities to submit or retrieve permits
  • Coordinate with internal teams on documentation needs
  • Update systems and track progress throughout the day
  • Complete final deliveries and prepare for the next day

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in delivery, administrative support, or field operations preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your schedule
  • Reliable and detail-oriented
  • Strong communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and MVR check
