Position Title: Software Tool Engineer
Required Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
Location: Annapolis Junction
Responsible for the automation of requirements management, change management, requirements gathering/tracking, and configuration management are critical to all projects needs throughout the project’s lifecycle. The Tools Engineer shall work with teams to identify, engineer, and implement the most optimal automation solution that follows approved processes for a given project or infrastructure. In addition, Tools Engineers shall work with all other infrastructure support teams as other support teams are identified as part of a solution to identify, engineer and implement solutions that integrate with the automation/infrastructure/productivity tools.
Education & Related Experience:
(U) Ten (10) years combined experience as a software engineer, system engineer, system administrator or configuration management engineer.
Six (6) years’ experience as a tools engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited institution is required.
Four (4) years of additional experience as a software engineer, system engineer, system administrator, or configuration management experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Labor Category must be in compliance with certification requirements detailed in DoD8570-M, IAT level 1.
Salary Range: $170,000-$185,000
Salary ranges are determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to:
Knowledge, skills, & abilities Years of experience
Education/Certifications Program placement
Duties & responsibilities Internal equity
More detailed information will be provided once those factors are known and addressed.
OVERTIME STATEMENT:
40 hours is the standard workweek. Some programs may allow additional hours to be worked as needed. A limited number of programs have on-call requirements where compensation is provided for being engaged to wait. In all circumstances, technical employees will be paid for all time worked.
BONUS STATEMENT:
All billable employees are eligible to earn quarterly bonuses that are based on the number of hours worked for that period. This hourly requirement is roughly 92% of hours available to bill in a given quarter. Quarterly Hours Bonuses are paid out on the same payroll as the time worked in that prior quarter (typically 21 days after the quarter ends.)
