Software Test Engineer (m/f/d)

to join our Cell and Biomolecular Analysis Division, where we develop best-in-class automated electrophoresis instruments and reagent product lines.

As a member of an international team, you will work in diverse cultural environments, maintaining effective lines of communication and a positive work atmosphere.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute manual and automated software tests, including test plans and test cases, to ensure Agilent products meet quality objectives, customer requirements, applicable standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Use test tools and frameworks based on functional and design specifications, and measure, track, and report test coverage across relevant dimensions
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, architects, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, acceptance criteria, and definitions of done, ensuring testability, consistency, and completeness
  • Analyze test results, assess and communicate risk during execution, and document outcomes, defects, and deviations to support follow-up actions and product improvements
  • Review and approve peer test results where applicable, and complete assignments with clearly defined objectives while maintaining high quality standards

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent university degree, typically with 5+ years of relevant experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related field
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum environments, with proficiency in Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and BitBucket for requirements management, collaboration, and test coverage tracking
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory analytical instrumentation is highly desirable; experience with test automation frameworks and/or software programming is strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in diverse international teams
  • Excellent English communication skills; German language proficiency is an advantage

This job has a full time weekly schedule.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
