Software Systems Engineer Senior

OASYS, INC., a Leading-Edge Government contractor, is seeking applicants for a Software Systems Engineer Senior position to support our Space customer in Huntsville, Alabama and Sunnyvale, California.

OASYS, INC. is seeking a full-time Software Systems Engineer. In this role, you will support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object-oriented analysis & design, code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test/delivery. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of languages such as C or C++. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require Final Secret government security clearance prior to starting. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications: - Proficiency in C/C++ for real‑time/embedded environments - Ability to develop and automate unit, integration, and hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) test procedures - Direct experience writing and managing software requirements - Ability to capture, trace, and manage requirements using tools like IBM DOORS - Ability to work in cross‑functional teams (hardware, firmware, mechanical, mission specialists) - Strong written communication for formal documents (requirements, test plans, reports) and oral communication for briefings and design reviews Desired Skills: - Exposure to satellite payload or missile guidance & control subsystems - Familiarity with model‑based systems engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo - Experience with cybersecurity testing (e.g., FIPS‑validated libraries, secure boot) Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite. Schedule for this Position:9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $93,200 - $164,450. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
