Software System Engineer
The Software System Engineer is responsible for translating stakeholder, user, and product needs into clear, testable, and traceable software requirements, and for ensuring that these requirements are consistently elaborated into system design, software design, integration, verification, and issue resolution activities throughout the product lifecycle. Working under general supervision, the role applies systems engineering and software engineering practices to drive end-to-end development in regulated environments, with particular attention to IEC 62304 compliance, design controls, and product quality. The role collaborates closely with software development, verification, architecture, quality, regulatory, clinical, and project teams in an Agile development context to refine requirements, support sprint-based design decisions, review design outcomes, and ensure timely closure of technical issues and complaints through structured investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive improvements. The role also contributes to modern engineering practices by leveraging AI-assisted and Harness Engineering approaches for requirements elaboration, issue analysis, coding quality, and engineering productivity, while ensuring responsible use, traceability, and compliance.

Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
Work Experience
Certifications
Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), Certified Product Owner, or equivalent system, software development certification is a plus.
Preferred Skills (Technical/Functional Skills)

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
