Job Description

Provides expertise in sustained customer success and growth in the post-sales customer lifecycle through training, professional services, technical support, renewals, outcome attainment, retention, expansion, and customer advocacy with a Digital focus. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of renewable energy integration (Solar/Wind) into grid Experience with forecasting systems (solar/wind forecasting) Understanding of grid balancing, scheduling, and dispatch Familiarity with SLDC/RLDC operations (India context preferred)

  • Experience in SCADA/EMS systems implementation, operation, or maintenance Hands-on exposure to substation automation systems (SAS) Experience in power system operations, preferably with utilities, load dispatch centers, or grid operators

  • SCADA configuration (RTU, HMI, Gateway). Protocols: IEC 60870-5-101/104, IEC 61850, Modbus Data acquisition and telemetry systems

  • Knowledge Control Center setups, EMS (Energy Management Systems), Alarm/event handling and data logging

  • Basic knowledge of: Networking (LAN/WAN, routers, switches), Server configuration (Windows/Linux), Database handling (SQL basics Cybersecurity awareness for critical

  • Configure, develop, and maintain SCADA/EMS applications for real-time monitoring and control of power systems. Manage data acquisition systems including RTUs, gateways, and communication interfaces

  • Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.

  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.

  • Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.

  • Develop and enhance analytics and forecasting applications for demand and generation insights. Integrate real-time data using APIs for dynamic updates on dashboards and control systems. Design and maintain HMI/GUI dashboards for visualization of operational data

  • Coordinate with utilities, OEMs, consultants, and stakeholders for smooth project delivery. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and as-built records. Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering/Electronics and Communication Engineering with minimum 0-3 years of experience in SCADA/EMS/REMS system
