We are looking for a proficient, observational, and analytical engineer to screen incoming issues and implement tooling to support our engineering team and help scale a rapidly growing team. As a screening & integration engineer on the Generative AI Experiences Software team, you will review and triage incoming bugs, analyze logs and help determine priority of issues. You will be expected to identify potential trends in incoming bugs and escalate to cross-functional team members. You will also be responsible for integrating our software with the broader operating system, and will gain encyclopedic knowledge of our area of focus and bugs in our components. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, because of the high level of interaction with the engineering teams, management, other organizations within Apple. The ideal candidate will be highly technical, detail-oriented, creative, motivated, and focused on achieving results.

As a team member your primary responsibilities are:
* Support developers for triage and analysis of issues
* Work with others to complete analysis, evaluations and design alternatives and to implement process improvements
* Collaborate on tools that support and automate processes for screening issues in our software
* Maintain branching for software repositories
* Maintain documentation of features for team
* Monitor communications in screening chat rooms
* Run reviews for development teams to keep issues moving through our system
* Escalate appropriately issues found in screening to development engineers

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Xcode and Apple internal development practices
BS CS/CE/EE or equivalent experience

Minimum Qualifications

Passionate and inquisitive, and seek to solve everyday problems in innovative ways (e.g. process efficiency and automation)
Passion for debugging and problem solving
Strong software engineering and development life cycle knowledge
Advanced experience with version control systems, specifically git
Experience in programming or scripting (ie. Bash, Shell or Python).
Comfortable with rapid development cycles
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work accordingly
Excellent communication skills
Track record of being proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well organized
Basic understanding of macOS and iOS
