Job Description

Our Subsidiary (Adree) is seeking a Software Quality Control, Senior Engineer Act as the senior hands-on quality engineer for functional, integration, API, mobile, regression, and automation testing. The role converts business and technical requirements into risk-based coverage, maintains reliable test assets, supports CI/CD quality gates, coaches' junior engineers, and provides clear release-quality evidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review business, functional, integration, and technical requirements; identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and testability concerns.
  • Create and maintain test conditions, scenarios, detailed test cases, traceability, test data, and entry/exit criteria.
  • Execute functional, exploratory, usability, compatibility, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, and pre-release testing.
  • Test REST/SOAP APIs and web services, validate payloads and business rules, and perform database checks where required.
  • Validate mobile applications and responsive experiences across supported Android and iOS devices and configurations.
  • Design, develop, review, and maintain automated tests for UI, API, end-to-end, integration, and regression flows using the program's approved automation framework.
  • Connect automated suites to source control and delivery pipelines; analyze failures and improve stability, coverage, and execution time.
  • Use service virtualization or mocks when dependent services are unavailable or unsuitable for repeatable testing.
  • Log high-quality defects with clear evidence, severity, priority, reproducible steps, and business impact; lead retesting and defect triage.
  • Maintain test plans, runs, dashboards, evidence, and reports in the approved test-management system.
  • Support release risk assessment, quality status reporting, and go/no-go recommendations.
  • Review junior engineers' test cases and defects, provide coaching, and contribute to knowledge-transfer sessions.
  • Collaborate with the Performance Test Lead on data, scenarios, environment readiness, and performance defect validation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of hands-on software testing experience across web, API/integration, and preferably mobile applications.
  • Strong test-analysis, test-design, exploratory-testing, defect-management, and regression-testing skills.
  • Practical API testing experience, plus working knowledge of SQL and JSON/XML.
  • At least 2 years of practical automation experience using a modern UI/API automation tool or commercial enterprise automation platform.
  • Experience with Agile delivery, source control, continuous-delivery concepts, and test management.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize risk, communicate blockers early, and coach less-experienced engineers.
  • Professional English communication; Arabic is an advantage.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprise test management, automation, service virtualization, or performance testing.
  • Experience testing enterprise services, web applications, mobile applications, or integration-gateway solutions.
  • ISTQB Foundation Level certification; advanced or automation-focused certification is an advantage.
  • Exposure to DevSecOps quality controls, containerized platforms, and regulated environments.

Success measures:

  • Risk-based test coverage and traceability are complete, current, and reviewable.
  • Defects are found early, documented clearly, and followed through closure.
  • Regression automation is stable, maintainable, and used in delivery pipelines.
  • Release reporting accurately communicates quality, risks, and residual gaps.
  • Junior engineers become more independent and consistent through coaching and review.
