HP’s Services and Solutions business is growing rapidly, and the Print Software organization has scaled significantly to meet evolving customer and business needs. As a result, we are reimagining how we build, operate, and deliver software—placing increased emphasis on platform thinking, app excellence, and end‑to‑end customer experience across our touchpoints.
This role is responsible for defining, planning, and executing the product strategy and roadmap for HP app on Apple and Android platforms, collaborating with various businesses (Print, Services, PS etc.) and teams to deliver software solutions and experiences that delight customers and meet business goals. The role plans and manages the software strategy, effectively steering them to meet specific roadmap and feature objectives requested by the business.
Responsibilities
As a Software Product Manager for Apps, you will own the software product strategy and roadmap execution for key areas of the HP app on Apple and Android, partnering closely with internal product managers, design, program, engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders to make data driven decisions, and deliver high‑quality, customer‑focused software solutions and experiences used by millions globally.
Leads the teams and organization through the entire product development cycle, ensuring clear prioritization, quality and delivery on HP app features/solution on Apple and Android.
Collaborates closely with engineering, design, and other relevant teams to ensure the successful development and delivery of high-quality and scalable software solutions on time and within scope.
Strategically partners with division product managers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and priorities.
Translates stakeholder needs into product requirements and definitions.
Translates customer feedback and assesses the external environment to identify potential changes that could enhance the differentiated product roadmap.
Provides thought leadership to stakeholders to guide feature development and prioritization.
Translates user requirements into executable and workable feature items with the software engineering team.
Provides guidance for junior team members on product management strategies.
Tracks and reports key metrics to drive future product developments.
Advises key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle.
Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in product management, digital or software product development, or a related field.
Knowledge & Skills
Strong technical knowledge of Printers, Solutions, Consumer Services, Software platform systems, including firmware, embedded systems and AI Tech stack.
Adept at collecting and analyzing input from multiple sources (internal customers, product managers, engineering, architecture, and management).
Relevant experience in software platform product management and AI in general (Agile Methodology, JIRA, Change Management, Kanban Principles, Scrum - SW Development, Sprint Planning, Prioritization Frameworks - WSJF, RICE etc.).
Ability to understand and deal well with rapid development cycles and remain flexible in the face of uncertainty.
Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical language and translate between the two.

The pay range for this role is$116,150to$182,400USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
