This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Master Developer based in Brazil.
As a Software Master Developer, you will serve as a senior technical reference within a development team, combining hands-on engineering with technical leadership and mentorship. You will design and implement scalable, high-performance cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure, Java, and modern microservices architectures. The role focuses on the modernization of a large-scale messaging platform supporting a global aviation business. You will work with event-driven architectures, distributed systems, messaging technologies, and containerized applications in a DevOps-oriented environment. Beyond delivering robust solutions, you will help establish engineering standards, guide technical decisions, and mentor other developers. Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with development teams to understand business and technical requirements and provide technical guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions on Azure, ensuring scalability, performance, security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Develop and evolve containerized microservices using Java and Spring Boot/Spring Cloud.
- Design and implement event-driven architectures and distributed messaging solutions for high-volume environments.
- Work with Azure services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, Azure Functions, and API Management.
- Define, establish, and promote software development standards, technical guidelines, architecture principles, and engineering best practices.
- Identify technical risks and constraints and propose effective solutions to mitigate them.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to engineering standards.
- Investigate and evaluate new technologies, tools, frameworks, and Azure capabilities relevant to the evolution of the platform.
- Act as a hands-on technical reference and mentor for less experienced developers, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to architectural decisions involving microservices, service-oriented architecture, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and messaging.
- Promote effective observability practices through appropriate monitoring, logging, and CI/CD processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a senior or master-level software engineer/developer, with a strong track record of building scalable and high-performance software solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, particularly Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, Azure Functions, and API Management.
- Strong professional experience with Java and Spring Boot/Spring Cloud, particularly for developing containerized microservices.
- Solid experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures and messaging systems.
- Strong understanding of microservices, service-oriented architecture (SOA), design patterns, and cloud-native development principles.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and communication protocols; TCP/IP knowledge is a plus.
- Practical experience working in DevOps-oriented environments, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and automated software delivery practices.
- Ability to make sound technical decisions while balancing scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and business requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks and design solutions for complex technical challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example, collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor other developers.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience evaluating emerging technologies and determining their applicability to enterprise software environments is desirable.
