Job Summary

Assist the Global Software Distribution manager in maintaining efficient processes, in software royalty reporting to suppliers, finance and other internal customers. This position also requires ability to process PO’s for non-standard and standard software products. Update software ordering forms, webpages, and provide special licensing agreements. Must effectively Communicate information regarding software orders, distributions and licensing.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

We are seeking a Software Licensing Analyst to join our team in Costa Rica. This role is perfect for a proactive, data-driven professional with a passion for technology and process optimization

• Basic knowledge of the business products and how they are licensed
• Ability to work on several contracts/projects simultaneously
• Able to understand the basics of how the 3rd party software is licensed and manage compliance (royalty reports):

1. Ensuring contract compliance (and maintaining valid contracts)
2. Tracking license usage and proper inventory transactions
3. Issuing Purchase Orders for the royalty payments to suppliers
4. Advising projects on the proper license to purchase, and placing the orders
5. Setting up new suppliers, part numbers and tracking mechanisms

• Provide services to all SYSS Bu’s PSS, PWS, RS, ETS, and IS.
• Gives guidance to internal customer.
• Managers communication with the 3rd party vendor.
• Prepares monthly/ quarterly reports to finance to accrue.
• Prepares monthly/ quarterly reports to 3rd party vendors.
• Give guidance to the internal customer.

• Able to identify the components required for various business segments
• Able to recognize risk in licensing agreements and suggest alternative strategies
• Able to fully comprehend and support technology and procurement strategy in terms of Software Licensing
• Able to structure the Licensing agreements for minimum risk, costs, and compliance

For This Role, You Will Need

• Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering required (computer science engineering or other IT background is preferred)
• 1 to 3 years’ procurement experience
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required for daily communication with stakeholders
• Knowledge of Software Licensing requirements (renewal and maintenance) for compliance
• Project Management skills (introducing new products)
• Basic understanding of Business need/use of 3rd party software
• Strong presentation skills are a must. We're looking for someone who can easily convey information and lead discussions in a variety of settings, including in-person meetings and virtual sessions.
• Demonstrated proficiency with data analytics tools, specifically Power BI and advanced Excel functionalities.
• Basic knowledge of OEM software contract terminology, compliance, terms and conditions
• Strong sense of urgency, with a proactive drive to analyze, learn, and explore new solutions. You're passionate about sharing your knowledge with the team.
