Hi, we're Monterro. We're the Nordics' largest software growth investor, and we back B2B software companies on the way to becoming market leaders. We work with people at every level of a business, bringing entrepreneurial drive and years of operating experience to find the moves that put real speed behind a growth plan.
We're not bankers. We're builders. We work in close partnership with our companies, hands-on, with knowledge, experience and ambition.
If you're an ambitious student who wants hands-on experience of buying, growing and selling leading SaaS companies, read on.
We offer a full-time, paid internship, from January to June 2027.
Plenty of internships end at the model. This one runs from the first prospect meeting to the board room. In the role you will:
Split your time between our Transactions and Growth Excellence teams
Own real tasks that give you unique insight into how software deals and software companies work
Join meetings with prospects, Nordic B2B software companies looking to grow
Work across the full deal cycle: sourcing, valuation, negotiations, due diligence and closing
Get to know our portfolio companies and their growth strategies, through market and competitor analysis and by taking part in add-on acquisitions
Sit in on board meetings and strategy sessions, which gives you senior exposure and a network across the Nordics
Our team is a mix of seasoned deal people and former software executives, with decades of experience in growing SaaS companies between them.
You are:
Studying at Bachelor or Master level in Economics, Business Management, Finance, Engineering or something similar. If you're at Bachelor level, we'd like you to have completed at least two years

Founded in 2012, Monterro is a hands-on growth investor that turns Nordic B2B software companies into market leaders by contributing our time, experience, know-how, and networks. And yes, we provide capital too.
We are previous founders, entrepreneurs and software executives who now support our portfolio companies across growth, helping you scale and succeed in the AI Era.
By investing our own capital, we are personally committed to our mutual success. We have offices in Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Helsinki, and our own software development centre in Hanoi.
Are you ready to grow and kickstart your career?
Apply now! We receive applications until September 30th. If you move forward in the recruitment process, please note that we'll have a case night in Stockholm in early October (we’ll update you asap about the details).
Ps. We love AI - but please avoid using an LLM/ChatGPT for your short motivation letter below, we want to hear your own voice!

Are you a Nordic B2B software entrepreneur who wants to grow and expand your business?
- Need strategic and operational support on how to do it?
- Need advice on how to expand abroad?
- Need best practice and learnings from others that have done it?
- Need help with recruitment or common legal questions?
Monterro invests in and develops B2B software companies. That's it.
Our mission is to turn Nordic software companies into market leaders and global leaders within their niche.
Our operational experience from building and managing b2b software businesses set us apart:
We invest in software – we don’t plan to diversify.
We come from operations – we are not bankers.
We invest our own money – we don’t rely on others’ capital.
Since 2012, Monterro has completed many platform and add-on investments. We manage four funds with a total value of EUR 3.1bn, and 10 percent of the managed capital come from our founders and employees.
To support our portfolio companies with software development, we've set up Scandinavia Software Park in Vietnam.
We know that it takes much more than just capital to successfully scale a software company.
