Software Integration Engineer, Mission Platform Services

In this role, you will support the CASA Compute Environment by installing, configuring, and sustaining operational services like GitLab, Wiki, Nexus, and JFrog Artifactory. Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Could Include

• Install, configure, and sustain operational services such as GitLab, Wiki, Nexus, and JFrog Artifactory
• Support core platform services within the CASA Compute Environment
• Use Bash and Python to automate administrative tasks and workflows
• Perform Linux system administration for COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries
• Sustain mission applications deployed in Linux environments
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and workflows using GitLab CI
• Support containerized services and help improve platform reliability and maintainability
• Work with customers and teammates to keep critical developer services running smoothly

Minimum Qualifications

• Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph, must be active. We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances
• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 6 years of demonstrable experience integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS and GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment
• Or 5 years of full-time Computer Science directly related work may be substituted for a degree, with at least 6 years of demonstrable experience

Required Skills

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux suite of tools
• Experience developing scripts using Bash and Python to automate administrative tasks and workflows
• Experience performing Linux system administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries
• Experience sustaining mission applications deployed in a Linux environment
• Experience using Git for source control of system configurations
• Experience creating CI/CD pipelines and workflows using GitLab CI
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker

Desired Skills

• Experience installing, configuring, and managing package registry COTS products such as Sonatype Nexus, PyPI, GitLab, and JFrog Artifactory
• Understanding of software packaging frameworks such as Maven, PyPI, and npm, and their associated artifacts
• Experience deploying containerized services under Kubernetes orchestration
• Experience interacting with and training external customers
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code principles and automation tools such as Ansible

Compensation Range: $154,000.00 - $198,000.00

*The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role. Please note that this range is intended as a guideline and is subject to flexibility.
