About the role

As Software Execution Lead, you will ensure structured and predictable execution for a distributed platform team of approximately 15 professionals located across Europe.

You will operate at the intersection of business and IT, driving alignment, governance, and delivery transparency in close collaboration with the Product Owner.

The role requires strong execution leadership, governance maturity, and the ability to operate confidently within enterprise IT frameworks.

Collaboration takes place primarily via Microsoft Teams.

Your responsibilities

Execution & Initiative Leadership

  • Drive high-level scoping and structuring of initiatives
  • Maintain roadmap overview and ensure long-term alignment
  • Coordinate priorities across business stakeholders and IT
  • Identify risks and mitigation actions proactively
  • Manage dependencies across teams and the shared service team
  • Ensure transparency on progress, delivery status, and impediments
  • Create structure, clarity, and momentum across initiatives.

Agile Facilitation & Delivery Enablement

  • Facilitate planning, refinement, and key team ceremonies
  • Ensure backlog readiness and planning maturity
  • Maintain capacity overview and delivery predictability
  • Drive accountability and engagement in a distributed team without formal line authority

IT Alignment & Governance

  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles
  • Act as the coordination point between the platform team and central IT functions
  • Secure clear information flow between IT and the development team
  • Anchor delivery in existing IT governance and operational processes

Platform Sustainability & Technical Oversight

  • Safeguard long-term platform sustainability
  • Balance short-term delivery with long-term technical health
  • Monitor and manage technical debt
  • Drive alignment on non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security)
  • Ensure platform stability, reliability, and resilience
  • Establish dashboards providing transparency on team health, delivery performance, and platform KPIs
  • Drive continuous improvement of platform reliability and operational maturity

We are looking for someone who

  • Has experience leading execution in complex enterprise IT or platform environments
  • Has a background as project manager, execution lead, or similar coordination-heavy role
  • Is comfortable operating across distributed, cross-country teams
  • Has strong stakeholder management skills across business and IT
  • Understands governance, non-functional requirements, and IT operating models
  • Creates clarity, structure, and momentum in complex environments
  • Influences without formal line authority
