Job Description
This is a software development position. The Software Engineer Co-op will work under the direction of a technical lead and in collaboration with other software engineers to design and develop software application code. Primary DutiesAnalysis and implementation of use cases and user stories in application code, including relational database modelingDetection, analysis, and resolution of defects and inconsistenciesCreation and maintenance of unit tests to verify function-level behaviorContribution to automated tests to verify user-level behaviorPerform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standardsPerform other duties as assigned Qualifications
Required Education, Training, and ExperienceHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalentAt least 1 year of a scientific degree program completedNo previous experience requiredMust be currently enrolled in a BS or MS program in a related life sciences, computer science, data science, or microbiology program Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesConsistently upholds and reflects the core ethical principles and values that bioMérieux promotesEffective verbal communication skillsWritten communications, including the ability to communicate technical data in written formThriving in a fast-paced environment by managing tasks, multitasking, and adapting quickly to maintain productivitySkilled in MS Office tools including but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word, and ExcelFamiliarity with software design concepts and software application lifecycleCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail The pay for this role is $22.00.
