Cigna International Healthis seeking a skilled Cloud Data Engineer to architect, develop, and optimise robustAIdata solutions on cloud platforms. This role is pivotal in building andmaintainingthe foundationalAI and Datainfrastructure that supports scalable, secure, and high-performance applications for our business

The ideal candidate willengineer technical solutions, produce clean code,and ensure successful delivery of software solutions aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership:

• Provide direction andberesponsible forthe output of Cloud and AI platform within the applicationdevelopment

• ImplementAI platformstrategy, ensuring that it aligns with the overall business and productobjectives

• Own AI and Data platform stackfor thesolutionaligned with the product vision as defined by thesolutionproduct owner

• Contribute to the definition ofapplications development policies,standards,and procedures

• Mentoring

• Leadandmentorjuniorsoftware development teammembers, fostering a culture of innovation,automation,collaboration, and excellence.

• Takeactivepart incareer development andperformanceof juniorsoftware development teammembers.

• Project Delivery:

• Executesoftware projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

• Executeproject plans and application designs to ensure projects are aligned with standards and IT strategy

• Followthe design principles, and developmentbest practicesto ensure scalable, secure, and efficient solutions, collaboratingwithother senior leads.

Requirements

• Experience:

• 5+ years in software/data engineering roles, with a strongtrack recordin cloud-native data solutions.

• Provenexpertisein AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, IAM, KMS,API Gateway,).

• Hands-on experience with Terraform (or similarIaCtools) for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure.

• Strong data engineering skillssuch as Spark AWS Glue / Databricks, including building and optimising ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Proficiencyin SQL (preferred) and Python (requiredfor automation and data processing).

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

• Exposure toGen-AI development environment such as Azure AI, AWS Bedrock or GCP.

• Experience in using AI productivity tools such as Cursor and exposure to Prompt Engineering.

• Leadership & Communication:

• Demonstrated ability to mentor technical teams.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Education:

• Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Software/Data Engineering, or a related field.

• Desirable:

• Experience working in regulated environments or with multi-region/multi-currency systems.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and iterative delivery.

• Exposure to Jira or similar project management tools.
