
Our client, an international fintech company, is looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a growing team of talented software engineers. This is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys building teams, improving processes, and delivering top-quality software at scale.
You’ll manage both in-house engineers and external contractors, ensuring best practices are followed across design, development, and delivery. The role combines hands-on technical oversight with strategic leadership, giving you the opportunity to shape how software is built and delivered in a fast-moving environment.
Lead and mentor a team of internal engineers and external contractors, fostering collaboration and innovation.
Oversee projects from planning to delivery, aligning outcomes with business goals.
Enforce best practices in software design, development, testing, and deployment.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and architecture teams to define priorities and technical direction.
Manage vendor relationships and ensure external contributors meet quality and performance standards.
Promote continuous improvement by introducing new tools, methodologies, and technologies.
Define performance metrics to track progress and communicate results to stakeholders.
Mitigate risks and ensure timely, successful project delivery.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
9+ years of professional software development experience, including 2+ years in a management role.
Hands-on background in Java and Spring Boot
Proven success leading mixed internal/external teams in an Agile environment.
Solid understanding of software architecture, scalability, and maintainability.
Experience managing multi-team or multi-vendor projects.
Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability.
Experience with CI/CD, version control, and automated testing frameworks.
Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
Exposure to React, Vue.js, or other front-end frameworks.
Understanding of DevOps practices and automation tools.
Experience working on enterprise-level systems
Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
Full-time, 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday).
Hybrid model: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote.
