Job Description

  • Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for enterprise digital analytics platforms, including web, mobile, and event‑driven data instrumentation.
  • Design and oversee implementation of scalable, cloud‑native architectures, supporting real‑time and near‑real‑time data processing.
  • Lead and mentor teams of software engineers, offering technical guidance through design reviews, implementation standards, and solution evaluations.
  • Define and maintain engineering best practices for data quality, testing, deployment automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Drive a mindset of continuous improvement within the team, including initiatives for automation, AI, and modernization.
  • Collaborate closely with your U.S.-based colleagues, product managers, analysts, marketers, and architects and lead your team to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and implementation designs.
  • Remain actively involved in technical decision‑making, including reviewing complex implementations, evaluating tools, and resolving advanced data and instrumentation issues.
  • Drive modernization initiatives, including migration to server‑side tagging, cloud services, automation, and AI/ML‑enabled analytics capabilities.
  • Ensure analytics solutions comply with data governance, privacy, and security standards, including GDPR, CCPA, and enterprise cybersecurity requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership within Agile and Kanban delivery models, supporting planning, execution, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 6–8+ years of progressively advanced experience in software engineering, analytics engineering, or related technical roles.
  • Deep expertise in digital analytics implementation, including Adobe Analytics, Tealium, or comparable analytics or tagging platforms.
  • Strong development background in JavaScript, Java, SQL, and experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and make independent architectural and engineering decisions for complex systems.
  • Experience implementing automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience serving as a technical lead or engineering manager for teams building large‑scale analytics or data platforms.
  • Hands‑on experience with data visualization tools, experimentation frameworks, and analytics enablement solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, privacy engineering, and secure data orchestration, including server‑side and privacy‑safe data collection techniques.
