We’re a global, multi-disciplinary team that’s putting the innovative power of technology to work and transforming tomorrow. At HARMAN Automotive, we give you the keys to fast-track your career.
- Engineer audio systems and integrated technology platforms that augment the driving experience
- Combine ingenuity, in-depth research, and a spirit of collaboration with design and engineering excellence
- Advance in-vehicle infotainment, safety, efficiency, and enjoyment
About the Role
At HARMAN, we recognise that effective collaboration and adaptability are critical elements in delivering value to our customers.
As a member of our Build and Integration (B&I) team, you will support DevOps and CI/CD ways of working used to build, test, and deliver software reliably. You will work with tooling such as Git/Gerrit, Jenkins, Linux, and scripting to help maintain and improve our CI/CD toolchains and automation.
This is a 6‑month internship (full‑time or part‑time) with a hybrid working model; on‑site preferred (Bucharest) due to collaboration with engineers and CI/CD workflow needs.
What You’ll Gain
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and build & integration workflows used in real automotive software projects.
- Mentorship from engineers working on build systems, automation, and integration quality.
- Practical scripting experience (Python/Groovy/Bash) to automate build flows and adjacent tasks.
- Potential pathway to a long‑term role based on performance and business needs.
What You Will Do
- Understand and work with CI/CD pipelines, including automated testing and quality checks.
- Support continuous delivery pipelines with Jenkins and help improve pipeline reliability.
- Help maintain our build environment and manage access/permissions under guidance.
- Monitor our version control system (Git/Gerrit) and support day-to-day integration needs.
- Measure and monitor CI/CD performance; support dashboards/metrics and continuous improvement.
- Develop and enhance scripts to automate the build flow and adjacent tasks.
- Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate scripting, debugging, log triage, and documentation—always validating outputs and handling data responsibly.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts (pipelines, automated build/test, quality gates) and a strong interest in going deeper fast.
- Demonstrable scripting ability (e.g., Python and/or Bash) through coursework or projects.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative workflows.
- Comfort working in a Linux environment.
- Networking/troubleshooting mindset: basic familiarity with debugging connectivity issues (logs, permissions, endpoints, simple TCP/IP/DNS intuition).
- Comfortable using AI-assisted tools to improve productivity in DevOps workflows (scripting, debugging, analysis, documentation) with disciplined validation.
- Evidence of excellence through strong academic performance and/or meaningful projects (CI pipelines, automation scripts, Linux tooling).
Bonus Points if You Have
- Exposure to Jenkins pipelines and/or Gerrit workflows.
- Experience with Python, Groovy, and Bash used for CI/CD automation.
- Interest in modern automation infrastructure deployment concepts.
What Makes You Eligible
- Hybrid working model; on‑site preferred (Bucharest).
What We Offer
- Flexible work environment, allowing for full-time remote work globally for positions that can be performed outside a HARMAN or customer location
- Access to employee discounts on world-class products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, and more)
- Extensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN University
- Competitive wellness benefits
- “Be Brilliant” employee recognition and rewards program
- An inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development
