Software Engineering & Development (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, Massachusetts): Will execute financial data onboarding, ESG data loading, processing and dissemination tasks, and support research database based projects within the IT team. The team works closely with investment researchers to supply quality ESG data to investment models and to various data consumers across the firm. Will have strong business and technology acumen, build partnerships, foster close collaboration and work hand in hand with the business and technology teams. Specific duties include: Provide analysis for data onboarding projects and support database developments; Manage operational data loading, processing and validation tasks that populate research database; Consolidate, transform and cleanse inbound and outbound data by leveraging programing skills; Support Data Quality Bl reports development and maintenance; Develop and document functional specifications for data processing pipelines and database development projects; Partner with multiple stakeholders to understand the complexities of the various data sets, and the multidimensional impacts across technology, operational procedures, and the organization and; work with research data and IT experts to strive for quality data and lean process in our database. Part-time telecommuting from within the U.S. permitted pursuant to Company policy.
Minimum requirements are: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field; plus 5 years of experience in Financial Services, including investment or asset management Information technology expertise. Alternatively will accept Master's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field; plus 3 years of experience in Financial Services, including investment or asset management Information technology expertise.
Must also have the following: Demonstrated advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational database; Demonstrated solid ability with R/Python/SQL for data analysis; Demonstrated experience with financial data and Bl reporting tools; Proven ability to perform in role requiring organization and ability to manage multiple tasks; Demonstrated solid and proactive communications in engaging and cooperating with internal and external teams as well as documenting communications and processes and; Experience working on database queries to prepare data for operational uses and research analysis, support development tests, and aim to optimize the data solutions. Salary Range:
$150,000 - $160,000 Annual
