About the Team
The Enterprise Vendor team manages Tier-1 platforms that power Lowe’s vendor ecosystem and enable critical business interactions across the organization. We build cloud-native applications and automation solutions that streamline communication, data exchange, and business processes across Merchandising, Supply Chain, Compliance, and Finance. Leveraging modern technologies such as React.js and Node.js, we deliver scalable solutions that improve decision-making, enhance vendor satisfaction, and simplify doing business with Lowe’s.
The primary purpose of this role is to translate business requirements and functional specifications into scalable technical solutions by designing, developing, and delivering stable application systems for Lowe’s Vendor Gateway Platform. This role is part of a Tier-1 enterprise platform that supports Lowe’s vendor ecosystem and enables critical business interactions across the organization. The engineer will develop, configure, and enhance integrated enterprise applications using React.js and Node.js within modern cloud-based and distributed computing environments.
The role offers a unique opportunity to work on a high-impact platform while collaborating with dynamic cross-functional teams across the US and India. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and engineering partners to communicate project statuses, technical proposals, and solution recommendations while contributing to platform scalability, performance, reliability, and overall engineering excellence.
Roles & Responsibilities
Translate business requirements and functional specifications into efficient technical designs and high-quality software solutions.
Build and enhance Tier-1 enterprise applications that support Lowe’s vendor ecosystem and critical business operations.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, UX teams, QA engineers, and business stakeholders across US and India teams to deliver reliable and scalable platform capabilities.
Develop reusable UI components, APIs, and platform services that improve application consistency, maintainability, and performance.
Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions to ensure engineering best practices and platform standards are followed.
Optimize applications for scalability, security, performance, and reliability within cloud-based and distributed environments.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues while ensuring system stability and operational excellence.
Work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional departments to communicate project statuses, technical proposals, risks, and solution recommendations.
Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and release activities while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Support CI/CD implementation, automated testing, and deployment processes in collaboration with DevOps and cloud engineering teams.
S tay current with emerging technologies, modern engineering practices, and platform innovations to continuously improve the Vendor Gateway Platform.
Years of Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in software development or a related field.
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems (CIS), or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable.
Primary Skills
2 years of experience in software development or a related field
2 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC) through iterative agile development
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in software development with expertise in React.js and Node.js.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Experience working with enterprise application development, distributed systems, and integrated platform solutions.
Good understanding of software design principles, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming concepts.
Experience with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and participation in end-to-end software development lifecycle activities.
Experience with unit testing, debugging, performance optimization, and application troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
Exposure to cloud platforms and CI/CD practices within modern engineering environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across global locations including US and India teams.
