The Boeing Company is looking for Software Engineer–Developers (Associate / Experienced / Senior) to be part of the Satellite Space Mission Systems team located in El Segundo, CA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business organization.
The selected candidate will support the development of mission software written in Java, C++, Python, ReactJS. The candidate will collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders to design and implement software solutions, ensure engineering excellence, and achieve program objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards
Develop, maintain, enhance, and optimize software products and functionalities for systems integrations
Develop, document, and maintain architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products
Participate in the agile software development lifecycle including planning, reviews, and supporting customer meetings
Debug and resolve issues identified to ensure reliability and efficiency of software products
Perform software development, participate in code reviews, and adhere to guidance on software standards and design principles.
Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development
Develop, establish, monitor, and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics that align with organization goals and industry benchmarks
Execute and document software research and development projects
Advise on software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree
2+ years of experience in software development
2+ years of experience with software integration and end-to-end testing methodologies
2+ years of experience with C/C++ coding or java/python script development
Experience working on a software development project that follows Agile and Scrum methodologies
Experience collaborating across multi-discipline engineering team
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance (Interim prestart, final post start) for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 3/Experienced: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Level 4/Senior 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Active Secret clearance or higher
Experience with full software development lifecycle that includes requirements analysis through formal qualification
Knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies. Ability to synthesize software architectures and designs that meet requirements, characteristics and constraints
Knowledge of software development processes in compliance with established internal and industry standards, guidelines, and best practices in the development, testing, and deployment of software
Knowledge of implementation, validation, and verification processes, practices, and guidelines to ensure software development quality, performance, and safety
Travel: less than 10%

Pay Range / level 2 - Associate: $106,250 - $143,750
Pay Range / level 3 - Experienced: $135,150 - $182,850
Pay Range / level 4 - Senior: $171,700 - $232,200
