Gaming & Experience is a sub-pillar within Applied AI Engineering, dedicated to engineering excellence, deep domain alignment, and preserving the expertise needed for high-quality data production, training velocity, and technical innovation. We are looking for an engineer with deep expertise in XR runtime systems and performance optimization to focus on foundational XR runtime systems, performance APIs, and developer toolkits.

Responsibilities

As an IC engineer in Gaming & Experience, you will build and scale interactive, immersive, and high-performance software across gaming, XR, wearables, graphics, frameworks, and core services. You will work within a domain-aligned team while executing on an assigned track, contributing to high-quality data production and measurable track outcomes

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on gaming, XR, graphics, or related systems
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience shipping production software in gaming, XR, wearables, graphics, frameworks, or core services
• Strong programming fundamentals in a relevant language (C++, C#, Kotlin/Java, Swift, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python)
• Experience with performance profiling and optimization on constrained or real-time targets
• Ability to work independently toward outcomes and communicate progress and risk clearly Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Track record of raising engineering standards across a team or org (tooling, reviews, best practices)
• Experience with cross-platform frameworks and multi-surface delivery (mobile, web, headset, wearable)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Experience contributing to data production pipelines or ML training workflows
• Depth in a specialized area: rendering/graphics pipelines, game engines (Unity/Unreal or in-house), XR runtimes, OS frameworks, or sensor/wearable systems
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
