
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures that Google Cloud's services—both our internally critical and our externally-visible systems—have reliability, uptime appropriate to customer's needs and a fast rate of improvement. Additionally SRE’s will keep an ever-watchful eye on our systems capacity and performance.
In this role, you will work on projects in any of critical infrastructure, resourcing, efficiency, analytics, migrations, SRE best practices, and combining toil reduction with scaling. You will help us scale beyond our twin meta-clusters (loga/loge) with all that moving workloads from private to public compute infrastructure cells entails (obtaining and managing resources, architecting multi-tenancy, removing data locality assumptions throughout our stack, disentangling analysis joins).
