Within the Robotic Application Software Development department, we develop software that helps automate dairy farms. This includes products such as our advanced milking robot and Automated Guided Vehicles. We are looking for a software engineer with an interest to combine software engineering and machine vision challenges.

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of software for our automated agricultural systems. You will work in multidisciplinary teams, consisting of software and test engineers, but also data analysts and electronics engineers, depending on the project.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing, implementing, and testing embedded software in C++ and Python.
• Optimizing, testing and troubleshooting machine vision algorithms used in the projects.
• Optimizing data structures and algorithms for production.
• Maintaining existing software and supporting improvements.
• Ensuring quality through design and code reviews, unit and integration testing, and addressing technical debt.
• Actively participating in our Agile work process by setting goals, reporting progress, and managing risks.

Functie-eisen

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• You have extensive experience with C++ and are capable of developing complex systems in this language, supplemented by knowledge of Python 3.7.
• You have experience with Embedded Linux and Git.
• You have working knowledge of Linux and Git.
• You are familiar with machine vision concepts and OpenCV.
• Having experience with FreeRTOS is a pro.
• You are skilled in writing documentation and think from a system-wide perspective.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity and multidisciplinary Agile Scrum teams.
• Experience with CI/CD systems is a nice bonus.

  For junior developers: between €4,000 and €5,800 gross per month.
  
  For medior developers: between €4,800 and €6,900 gross per month.
