Job Description

We are looking for a Senior PHP developer with experience of complex system development to work as part of our Sydney-based team. Any full-stack or React experience would be beneficial but is not a requirement.

What you’ll do & how you'll make your mark:

• Workaspart of across-functionalSydney-based team to build scalable, enterprise-class software products

• Understand business problems from product,marketingand other engineeringteamstoscope,designand deliversolid,testedand effective solutions to those problems

• Learnnew technology& practices, mentorothers in theteamanddevote time foryour ownlearning and continuous improvement

• Facilitate continuous improvement and agile SDLC.

• Write clean, well-formed, testable, and maintainable software following theaccepted coding standards and using best software development practices.

• Identify, troubleshoot, debug, and resolve defects in software and relatedsystems on an advanced level.

• Do code reviews and help the team deliver high qualitycode .

• Contribute to the project discovery process in a meaningfulway.

• Participate in recruiting the best for yourteams

Who you are and what you need to succeed:

• Strong interpersonal communication skills (including listening, speaking, andwriting) and ability to work well in a diverse, team-focused environment with otherEngineers, Product and Program Managers, etc.

• A passion for creatingperformant, scalable and reliablecode end to end

• At least 4years of experience developingcomplexwebsites,applicationsand REST APIswithPHP.

• Great understanding of OOPS and design patterns.

• Experience with RDBMS likeMySQL ,PostgreSQLetc

• Experience withautomated testing, at least at the level of unit tests.

Secondary Requirements:

• Full-stack or front-end experience, particularly using React, would be highly beneficial.

• Experience with Git/SVN/CVS, Continuous integration & Continuous delivery.

• Previousexperience working withgeographically-distributedcoworkers.

• Knowledge ofany of the followingan advantage virtualization,Docker, public/private clouds -AWS/Azure/OCI, metrics and logging systems, applicationmonitoring,API optimization, etc.
