Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management).

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with building and managing developer ecosystems, package managers and build systems.
• Experience with designing developer experiences and workflows.
• Experience with coordinating cross-organizationally and setting up successful partnerships.
• Knowledge of software supply chain security issues, vulnerability management, or a related field.
• Participation in open-source development, leading open-source projects, or projects with significant open source dependencies.

Safe Coding contributes to that mission by managing some of the biggest risks in software security. We innovate at scale by making secure coding effortless, for everyone. We are bootstrapping our presence in Asia-Pacific (APAC) by establishing a brand-new Singapore hub.

In this role, you will play a massive part in establishing our engineering culture and bringing innovation to our new location.

Responsibilities

• Deliver first-class software engineering and take deep technical ownership of critical projects and system designs.
• Partner closely with technical leads, Product Managers (PMs), and Technical Program Managers/Program Managers (T/PgMs) to execute on the team's goal and Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy. Drive the successful technical transfer and implementation of critical new projects.
• Stay on the rapidly developing agentic threat landscape and boldly embrace the dynamically changing AI environment. Move fast, write exceptional code, and think outside the box to engineer new solutions to old problems.
• Work tightly with partner teams in Google's Software Supply Chain Integrity program, engineering stakeholders, and industry peers to seamlessly integrate our security solutions at an unprecedented scale.
