About Metrologic DCS

Metrologic DCS, part of the Sandvik Group, is a recognized global leader in 3D industrial metrology and quality intelligence.

We design innovative software solutions and services that enable manufacturers to master inspection and manufacturing challenges and accelerate their digital transformation.

Our solutions help customers improve product quality, increase efficiency, and drive productivity across global production environments, while reducing quality-related costs and enhancing overall performance.

About the Role

Metrologic is looking for a Software Engineer to join our QDM/IF development team. In this role, you will help design, develop, and maintain software that enables manufacturers around the world to manage quality data, analyze process performance, and make informed production decisions.

This is a full-stack engineering position where you'll work across Angular front-end applications, .NET services and APIs, and PostgreSQL databases. You'll collaborate closely with Product Management, Software Quality, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality software that is secure, scalable, and maintainable.

Whether you're enhancing existing functionality, building new features, or solving complex customer challenges, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on products used in quality and manufacturing environments worldwide.

What You'll Do

Design and Build Software Solutions

  • Develop and maintain applications using C#, .NET, Angular, TypeScript, SQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • Design, implement, and support REST APIs and database solutions.
  • Create scalable, high-performing software while following established architecture and coding standards.
  • Contribute to technical specifications, API contracts, and data model designs.

Deliver High-Quality Software

  • Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
  • Validate analytical and statistical results against reference data.
  • Apply secure coding practices and resolve vulnerabilities.
  • Support software releases, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance activities.

Collaborate Across Teams

  • Partner with Product Management and quality engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing.
  • Help onboard and support junior team members, interns, or apprentices.
  • Contribute ideas that improve products, processes, and technology.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of professional software development experience building commercial web applications.
  • Strong experience with:
  • C# and .NET
  • Angular, TypeScript, or a comparable modern front-end framework
  • SQL and relational database design
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle practices, version control, CI/CD, automated testing, and defect tracking.
  • Knowledge of web application security, authentication, and authorization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly learn new technical domains.
  • Comfort working with quantitative and statistical concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), process capability analysis, or Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA).
  • Manufacturing, inspection, metrology, or quality systems experience.
  • PostgreSQL performance tuning and large-volume data management.
  • Cloud technologies, containerization, and observability tools.
  • Data visualization and analytical user interface development.

Why Join Metrologic?

  • Work on software that directly impacts manufacturing quality and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with a highly skilled and supportive development team.
  • Gain exposure to advanced analytics, quality engineering, and industrial software applications.
  • Expand your technical expertise across the full software stack.
