About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with strong PowerBuilder development expertise to join our team in Utrecht, Netherlands The ideal candidate will have solid experience developing enterprise applications on the Windows platform, strong SQL and relational database knowledge, and hands-on exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

This role requires someone who can work independently, understand complex business logic, and collaborate effectively within Agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using PowerBuilder on the Windows platform
• 
  Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• 
  Develop and optimize SQL queries and database interactions with relational databases such as MySQL
• 
  Manage source code using version control systems (Git or SVN)
• 
  Participate in CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation using Jenkins
• 
  Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring system reliability and performance.
• 
  Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment
• 
  Continuously improve development processes and contribute to best practices.

Required Skills

• 6–8 years of software development experience
• 
  Strong PowerBuilder development experience
• 
  Experience building applications on the Windows platform
• 
  Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (MySQL preferred)
• 
  Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN
• 
  Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins
• 
  Ability to work independently and understand complex business logic
