Software Engineer – Platform / Infrastructure

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)
Company Stage of Funding: Series A/B ($30M+ raised)
Office Type: Hybrid
Salary: $160,000 – $225,000

Their AI-native platform identifies behavioral security risks and automatically deploys interventions that improve enterprise security posture at scale.

This is an opportunity to build the infrastructure backbone powering large-scale data ingestion, processing, and real-time decisioning systems.

What You Will Do

• Design and build scalable backend infrastructure systems
• Build and operate real-time and batch data processing systems
• Develop platform services supporting high-throughput data workflows
• Build compute, storage, orchestration, and platform tooling
• Improve system reliability, observability, and operational performance
• Collaborate closely with data and ML teams
• Support production data ingestion and serving infrastructure
• Optimize systems for scalability and cloud efficiency
• Build internal abstractions and developer tooling
• Drive infrastructure consistency and engineering velocity
• Contribute to secure, compliant infrastructure design
• Help scale platform architecture as product adoption accelerates

• 4–8 years of backend/platform engineering experience
• Strong distributed systems fundamentals

• Data pipeline / ETL systems experience
