This is a highly technical and impactful role where engineering precision, creativity, and performance optimization come together to support cutting-edge AI development workflows.
Accountabilities:
- Build and optimize high-quality 3D scenes and simulations using Open 3D Engine for AI training use cases.
- Utilize engine components such as Atom Renderer, Component Entity System, Gems, and Asset Processor to create immersive and scalable environments.
- Translate conceptual requirements into fully functional 3D simulations and interactive systems.
- Develop and maintain code in Python and C++ to extend Open 3D Engine workflows and integrations.
- Design and improve asset processing pipelines for large-scale simulation and AI-driven environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure simulation outputs align with AI training objectives.
- Document technical solutions and provide clear progress updates across distributed teams.
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with Open 3D Engine, including Atom Renderer, Gems, Asset Processor, and Component Entity System.
- Proficiency in Python and C++ for engine development and automation tasks.
- Proven ability to design and deliver full-cycle 3D simulations from concept to deployment.
- Experience in game development or simulation engineering in production environments.
- Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure for scalable simulation workloads.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with emphasis on documentation and collaboration.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while coordinating effectively with distributed teams.
- Experience optimizing performance and asset workflows in complex 3D environments is a plus.
Benefits:
- Fully remote contractor role with flexible working arrangements
- Competitive hourly compensation ranging from $50 to $120 based on experience
- Opportunity to contribute to advanced AI training through 3D simulation engineering
- Work on high-impact, real-world simulation systems using cutting-edge engine technology
- Exposure to large-scale, performance-driven 3D environments and AI-focused workflows
- Collaborative engagement with global stakeholders and technical teams
- Flexible independent work structure suited for experienced engineers
