About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Software engineer

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects associated with the technology domain, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts
  • Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements within the technology domain environment
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review and analyze technical assignments or challenges that are related to low to medium risk deliverables and that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternative technology domains
  • Present recommendations for resolving issues or may escalate issues as needed to meet established service level agreements
  • Exercise some independent judgment while also developing understanding of given technology domain in reference to security and compliance requirements
  • Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.

  • 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Network Automation
  • Infrastructure Automation
  • Network Engineering
  • DevOps Engineering
  • Software Development supporting infrastructure teams

Experience working in enterprise network environments

  • Python for automation and scripting
  • Ansible for configuration management and orchestration
  • Automation & Development
  • API integrations and RESTful services
  • Git version control
  • JSON, YAML, XML
  • Linux fundamentals
  • Scripting and problem-solving skills

Job Expectations: Network Automation Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows using Python and Ansible.
  • Automate day-to-day network operational tasks, configuration management, reporting, and compliance validation.
  • Develop scripts and tools to support provisioning, inventory management, configuration backup, and health-check activities.
  • Integrate network and voice platforms using REST APIs and automation frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot and enhance existing automation solutions.
  • Infrastructure Automation
  • Support automation initiatives across:
  • Network Switches and Routers
  • Firewalls
  • Load Balancers
  • Proxy Platforms
  • Cisco Voice product suite (CUCM,CUC,CER)
  • Ribbon SBC and PSX platforms
  • Assist in automating software upgrades, configuration deployments, and operational workflows.
  • Support infrastructure standardization and modernization efforts through automation.
  • Collaboration & Delivery
  • Partner with Network, Voice, Security, and Operations teams to gather automation requirements.
  • Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, testing, and code reviews.
  • Document automation workflows, technical designs, and operational procedures.
  • Contribute ideas and solutions to improve operational efficiency and service reliability.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Identify repetitive manual tasks and develop automation solutions to improve productivity.
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation and compliance initiatives through automation.
  • Support monitoring, validation, and reporting activities for infrastructure platforms.
  • Help improve consistency and reduce operational risks through automation-driven processes.
