Join Barclays as a Software Engineer – Network Automation role, where you will contribute to designing and building modern network automation and integration solutions. You will work in a product engineering environment, developing scalable and reliable software that simplifies complex network operations through automation. To be successful in this role, you should have below skills:
Strong hands-on Python development experience, with a clear software engineering mindset (clean code, modular design, testability, and maintainability).
Experience building software products using Python, including packaging, dependency management, and versioning.
Good understanding of Micro Services architecture, API driven design, and service to service integrations.
Experience with network device integration and automation using technologies such as Netconf/Yang, YAML/Json, Jinja, Parsers, Netmiko or similar.
Working knowledge of secure coding, error handling, and defensive programming practices.
Domain skills
Strong networking fundamentals (CCNA or similar), including routing, switching, firewall, load-balancing, and troubleshooting.
Exposure to virtualization and infrastructure environments is preferred.
Some other highly valued skills may include below:
Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
Exposure to SRE concepts including SLIs/SLOs and observability using ELK, Observe, or similar.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

This role is based in Pune office.
