Responsibilities

REI Systems is currently migrating from .NET 4.8 to .NET 10 and are looking for a strong .NET developer with hands-on experience in .NET version upgrades. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing code changes that arise during the upgrade process, while simultaneously supporting the transition from SQL Anywhere to SQL Server. The ability to handle both the framework migration and database-related code updates concurrently is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET 6/8, and SQL Server.
  • Design and support REST APIs and backend services.
  • Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and database issues.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA, and project stakeholders in an Agile environment.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and production releases.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and system modernization efforts.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of experience in .NET application development.
  • Strong experience with:
    • C#
    • ASP.NET Core / MVC
    • NET 6/8
    • SQL Server
    • Entity Framework and/or Dapper
    • REST API development
  • Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure cloud services and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Knowledge of OAuth2/JWT authentication and application security.
  • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment tools.
  • Experience supporting government or public-sector applications.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Masters degree preferred.

Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance is preferred.

Location: Hybrid – 2 days per week at REI Systems’ Sterling, VA office
