Job Description

Are you ready to shape the future of access systems? At SKIDATA, we're leaders in cutting-edge access solutions, and we're looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our dynamic Global Customized Solutions (GCS) team. If you thrive on solving complex integration challenges, love crafting tailored solutions, and are eager to support customers and partners worldwide, this is your chance to make a real impact.

What You'll Do

  • Design and Deliver Custom Solutions: Build tailored software integrations that connect third-party systems with SKIDATA products to meet specific customer needs.
  • Support Global Integration Projects: Provide integration support for public interfaces and guide third-party partners in connecting with SKIDATA systems.
  • Contribute to Team Success: Write high-quality code and actively contribute to the performance of the Global Customized Solutions team.

Drive Standards and Mentorship Across Regions: Support the functional lead of regional and subsidiary developers, helping implement consistent coding standards, architecture guidelines, and reusable frameworks, while promoting modern engineering practices such as CI/CD and AI-assisted development.

In this role, you'll play a key part in extending SKIDATA's reach through customized integrations and cross-regional collaboration. You'll work closely with architects, other development teams, and global technical support, immersing yourself in a collaborative environment that values your ideas and supports your continuous growth.

What You Bring

  • Strong experience working with interfaces (SOAP, REST, gRPC, RMQ, .NET, sockets)
  • Strong experience in C# / .NET (.NET 8 or later, ASP.NET Core)
  • Experience with Java, JEE, and Java frameworks such as Spring Boot and Hibernate
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript) and modern frameworks (Angular, React)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Experience with API management and design (REST, API gateways)
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and software supply-chain security
  • Experience working effectively in a globally distributed team, with strong remote collaboration and documentation habits
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot)
  • Fluent English (written and spoken); German or another regional language is a plus given our global team setup
  • A self-organized, analytical team player who thrives in a multicultural, collaborative environment

What You Can Expect

  • Meal Allowance: Benefit from a digital meal designed to suit your preferences.
  • Job Bike Leasing Program: Participate in our bike leasing program to promote a healthier and more active lifestyle.
  • Transport Subsidy: Receive financial support for your Job Ticket to help with your daily travel costs.
  • Extra Vacation Days: Take advantage of an optional additional week of vacation to recharge.
  • Support Sustainability: Access electric vehicle charging stations in our parking area to support eco-friendly commuting.
  • Global Collaboration: Work alongside an international team of specialists, sharing knowledge and insights from diverse backgrounds.
  • Professional Growth Opportunities: Discover excellent chances for career development and skill enhancement.
